Ok he's calling everybody else a liar... but the fact is he's the one lying about his ratings.
He wrote in his letter that:
The Tuesday, January 9, 2007 Variety, “the Bible of show business,” stated, “As for ‘The Apprentice’, a shift from Manhattan to Los Angeles seemed to stoke the interest of auds: Donald Trump --- hosted skein averaged a 4.1/10 in 18-49.” The Apprentice moved “into the demo lead in its final half hour” --- this after five seasons including being the #1 show on television. But overall, his ratings were down 600,000 viewers from last year. Ok, and if you want to compare with what was on the same day, the show lost it's ratings to Desperate Housewives, and then only after Housewives were over at 10, did it pick up... for about 30 minutes. Then it ended its last half hour as third among total viewers. However, if you want to look at ONLY NBC, then yes, he's right, the show did generate NBC's highest non-sports rating since Nov. 6, 2005. Though Im not sure that is a good way of looking into ratings, as you'd be only comparing yourself with yourself.
I think the bottomline is: There are ALOT of people out there who will NOT watch the Apprentice, because of this feud. I really think that he hurt himself more than anybody else, when he decided to address Rosie's reference on The View.
Then he has the audacity to say to Walters:
"Barbara Walters has taken the low road for the sake of her show rather than the sake of her morality," Trump said in his statement, accusing Walters of lying about her true feelings for O'Donnell."
Seriously who is he to talk about morality? A person who acts for the sake of his/her morality, wouldnt be picking on a stand up comedian, talk show host, just because she made fun of his hair! Oh and I think he needs a wake up call. I heard on the Today show this morning, that he likes his hair, and why shouldnt he be attacking her if she's making fun of it... umm.. he should be attacking just about every single person in America, and Canada, oh and in Europe, oh of course and in Asia too..
Here's something from USATODAY dating back to 2004...
